What does Bible say about devatas or evil forces?
St Paul writes in one of his letters that our fight is not with flesh and blood but it is between the principalities of the air. Daniel, a servant of God mentioned in the Bible, prayed and the angel said to him that God answered the prayer immediately. But the angel had to fight with them. evil forces for 21 days before he could meet Daniel. From our discussions above, it is clear that horoscope predictions could be true to some extent. Pleasing the devatas is not a permanent solution for the problems in the horoscope as we have seen in Bhagawat Gita. This could be the reason why some senior astrologers give advice, to those who cannot spend much to please devatas, to take the help of those who can chant prayers for warding off the influence of evil forces in their life. In other words, they believe the words of the Supreme Lord in Bhagawat Gita and accept that Supreme Lord can overrule the evil forces. To understand this point, let us look into the following story.
One rich man gave his property freely to a group of farmers for cultivation and to enjoy its benefits. These farmers were not educated and the owner said, “You should not sign any papers if someone comes to you.” The rich man went to a foreign land and the farmers started the cultivation. The days went by and one day a stranger came to the farm and started talking sweetly to one of them. The farmer fell for sweet talks by the stranger and took him to his friends. They too took the stranger as their friend and entertained him. The Stranger hosted a small party on the farm and made the farmers drink.
The stranger confirmed that the farmers were intoxicated and the next step he did was to make the farmers sign a paper. They promptly did it. From that moment the whole property’s control was in the hand of the stranger. The new owner made some conditions that all harvest will be under his control and the farmers cannot enjoy it as they had enjoyed before. The new owner put some security people in-charge of the farm.
In this condition what are the options available for the farmers to get benefits their harvest.
1) They have to depend on the rich man to sort out the legal issues and wait for the verdict.
2) They can bribe the security staff and steal the harvest temporarily.
Now let us see man’s situation. His horoscope is written by devatas. You can appeal to the Supreme Lord or bribe the devatas. Bhagawat Gita tells us to depend only on the Supreme Lord and worship Him.
With the facts stated above, we conclude that man has fallen in sin, his control over the dominion is with Satan or evil forces. Above all, he is under the bondage of evil forces, condemned by evil forces for eternal separation from God. There is no permanent solution by worshipping the devatas. See what Bhagawat Gita says about worshipping the devatas in 4:12
Kanksantah karmanam sidhim
Yajanta iha devatah
Ksipram hi manuse loke
Sidhir bhavati karma-ja
Men in this world desire success in fruitive activities, and therefore they worship demigods. Quickly, of course, men get results from fruitive work in this world.
From this verse, it is clear that you may get some temporary result by worshipping the devatas but that is not permanent or approved by the Supreme Lord.
