What is the present situation of man?

Man is certainly separated from God. This explains why there is no natural relationship between God and man. The man has fallen from God’s standards. The Bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short the glory of God;” (Rom 3:23). Our first parents challenged God because they chose to believe the Satan’s words. Do we have to teach a child to lie or do anything wrong? It comes naturally to the child. Why? It is because the fallen nature of man is in the blood of every child. The fallen nature of sin gave rise to wrong attitudes in the hearts of people.

a). Attitude of man

Let us see the attitude of man. For this, let us see what Bhagawat Gita says about the attitude of man. In chapter 16 vs.7-8

pravrttim ca nivrttim ca jana na vidur asrah na saucam napi cacaro na satyam tesu vidyate asatyam apratistham te jagad ahur anivsvaram aparaspara-sambhutam kim anyat kama-haitukam

Those who are demoniac do not know what is to be done and what is not to be done. Neither cleanliness nor proper the behaviour for truth is found in them.
They say that this world is unreal, with no foundation, no God in control. They say it is produced for sexual desire and has no cause other than lust.
Let us also see what Bible says about the man in Romans 1:21- 22.
“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful: but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,” Isn’t it absolutely true when we see the status of man?

b). Outcome of the wrong attitude
The wrong attitudes have resulted in having a wrong heart that guides wrong actions. Bhagawat Gita 16:9 says
Etam drstim avastabhya nastatmano lpa-buddhayah Prabhavanty ugra-karmanah ksayaya jagato ‘hitah

Following such conclusions, the demoniac, who are lost to themselves and who have no intelligence, engage in unbeneficial, horrible works meant to destroy the world. Also, the Bible says in Mark 7:21-23,
“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
From these scriptures, it is clear that the heart of the problem lies in the heart of the man – Heart of the problem is the problem of the heart. The basic reason for all the evil actions, environmental degradation or any misery in this world, is greed and selfishness of man.
